From the Heterogeneous Catalysis Research Group of the University of Valencia (IQCATAL), we would like to announce the completion of the project: MRR/Nanocatalysts for the ecological transition:  CO₂ transformation and energy storage (TED2021-129555B-I00/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/Union Europea NextGenerationEU/PRTR) funded by Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) & Unión Europea – NextGenerationEU.

During the project, we achived a significant scientific output, publishing 15 articles in high-impact JCR journals and presenting more than 10 papers at national and international conferences, thus consolidating our contribution to the field of catalysis for sustainability and the ecological transition. Furthermore, the project has enabled the hiring of two researchers, strengthening our research capacity and fostering training and young talent in the area of catalysis applied to the ecological transition.

We thank Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) & Unión Europea – NextGenerationEU for their support, and the entire group team for their dedication and continuous effort in the search for innovative solutions for the sustainable transformation of CO₂ and energy storage.

¡New news!

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded with a consolidated AICO 2025 porject grant from the Valencian Government: “Green hydrogen generated in-situ through photoelectrolysis for the catalytic valorization of biomass”.

The project addresses a comprehensive challenge: generating renewable hydrogen through photoelectrolysis directly at the poin of consumption and using it in catalytic processes that transform biomass and lingocellulosic waste into high-value-added products. We are excited to advance this line of research, which integrates the photoelectrolysisi of renewable H₂ and catalysis to valorize waste form biomass. Thank you to the Valencian Government and the University of Valencia for supporting this endeavor!
